AlumiPlate, Inc. is the exclusive world-wide supplier of metal finishing services, technology, chemicals and equipment specifically focused on the world-wide patented AlumiPlate^SM process for the electrodeposition of aluminum on a commercial basis. We help our customers to achieve lower life cycle costs for their products by enabling users to take advantage of the attractive surface properties of high purity aluminum (such as excellent corrosion resistance), while still benefiting from the physical properties of virtually any basis metal.  We provide technical design engineering assistance and applications engineering expertise aimed at providing excellent technical solutions that go beyond just plating.  We endeavor to think about your application, materials, demands on the components and customer objectives of coating a part.  If we don't believe that Plating With Aluminum^SM is the best solution to your problems, we don't try to sell it to you. The process provides a high performance, attractive, effective and non-hazardous alternative to the more traditional heavy metal plating technologies utilizing cadmium and chromium, which may pose significant threats to human health and the environment.

	AlumiPlate is designing its policies, procedures and instructions to emulate ISO9001.  By offering highest quality, responsive services, AlumiPlate's objective is to be an innovative industry leader in the Metal Finishing industry.

	How Does AlumiPlate Compare With Other Platings and Coatings?

AlumiPlate™ aluminum competes with and must be compared to other coatings such as cadmium, zinc, zinc alloy plating such as zinc nickel, zinc iron, and zinc cobalt; electroless nickel, and electrolytic nickel plating as well as organic coatings.  We are compiling a test results database for several criteria for comparison.  A subjective summary of those comparisons follows: Corrosion Resistance - Aluminum plating is better than virtually any other practical fastener coating for salt spray corrosion resistance.  Research, independent lab testing and customer testing have led us to this conclusion. High Temperature Resistance - Based on a thorough study of the metallurgy of high purity aluminum, we conclude that aluminum plating is able to withstand and retain its beneficial properties to a higher temperature (up to 1,000 F) than virtually any other practical fastener coating except for nickel plate.  Testing is underway. Hydrogen Embrittlement - Aluminum plating is a unique solvent-based process and, as such, is inherently less likely to lead to hydrogen embrittlement than virtually any other practical fastener coating.  We are in the process of carefully verifying hydrogen embrittlement test results.  Independent lab testing and customer testing have led us to this theory.  Further testing is ongoing and will continue.
