The AlumiPlate™ Electrodeposited
Aluminum Coating is Covered by (among others) Military Specification:
MIL-C-83488C Coatings, Aluminum, High Purity and therefore can be
applied as a drop in replacement wherever Ion Vapor Deposition Aluminum is
specified. Electroplated Aluminum outperforms IVD aluminum in a majority of
applications, as indicated in the following table:

*These results were reported by a
customer testing salt fog corrosion resistance of aluminum plated
bolts. In ASTM B-117 testing conducted to date, no specimen of
AlumiPlate aluminum coating with a chromate conversion coating (Type
2 per the Mil specification) has ever reached an end point (white OR
red corrosion products) in as much as 6300 hrs!
