AlumiPlate, a provider of pure electroplated aluminum anti-corrosion coating, was founded in 1995. Today, our Minnesota facility regularly produces a wide variety of products, as sophisticated as spacecraft and aircraft or essential as ground vehicles and naval vessels, tractors, and trucks. As complex as scientific instruments and tools for leading-edge research and as crucial as long-lived corrosion-resistant fasteners couplings and housings. Our aluminum plating process is not hazardous to workers or the environment, and the coating does not contain any toxic materials. Unlike alternative coatings, the entire life cycle of products with AlumiPlate aluminum is benign.
We have an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Project Manager in our Coon Rapids facility:
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of project management, from working with sales on estimates to customer acceptance of finished parts
- Communicate with customers at a technical level to resolve problems by utilizing all resources available and consult with internal and external departments as needed
- Utilize VISTA manufacturing software to create part methods, travelers, and outsource PO’s that document customer requirements and production details
- Provide production support to resolve technical questions
- Manage and coordinate outsource production vendors
- Review customer drawings for process requirements and determine if additional information is needed to complete cost estimate requests from sales
- Maintain industry standard and customer specification revisions and determine the impact on processing requirements
- Complete plating thickness validation by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data as required for tooling and plating parameter’s on new parts
- Assist with the creation of new, and revision to existing quality documents as required
- Utilize CAD to create tooling design layouts and detailed drawings
- Develop, evaluate and improve production methods for increased efficiency
Requirements for Position:
- An Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology or an equivalent technical degree in Mechanical Design with preferably five year’s of experience in design, applications, or project engineering
- 0 – 3 years experience with manufacturing operations software, preferably VISTA or Epicor
- 0 – 3 years experience Previous CAD experience with Solidworks, preferably AutoCAD as well.
- Demonstrate real-world mechanical aptitude
- Strong problem-solving skills, both in using similar solutions and in creating original solutions
- Ability to learn multiple key concepts and combine them to solve complex design applications
- Effective priority management while maintaining multiple project schedules and requirements
- Detailed oriented and organized
- Covid-19 Vaccination, unless you are exempt under EEOC’s guidance.

- PTO:
- 14 days to start, with hours accruing bi-weekly every payday

- Unpaid PTO with the permission of the supervisor and President
- Paid Holidays:
- There are currently 7 paid holidays on the annual schedule
- AlumiPlate is usually closed between Christmas and New Years, and additional Bonus paid holiday time may be awarded during that time.
- Profit-Sharing Plan: Percentage of base salary paid out for reaching cash flow goals
- 2017: 5.7%; b. 2018: 8.0%; c. 2019: 8.1%; d. 2020: 10%

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
